What This Means
Corridors cleared to spec, access kept open.
Pipeline, powerline and water easements grow over fast. Roadsides, rail corridors, solar farms and civil sites all need vegetation kept down. We clear it so crews can get in, sight lines stay open and assets stay visible.
Work is scoped to the asset owner's or principal contractor's requirements. Clearance widths, exclusion zones, inductions and site rules are confirmed in writing first. Where a job needs a specialist line-clearance crew near live conductors, we say so straight.
This is vegetation work only — clearing, mulching and slashing. No earthworks, no grading.
We supply the right machinery for the job, and work as a subcontractor to utilities, councils and head contractors.
Bendigo based, working across Central Victoria, and Victoria-wide for larger-scale projects. See Large-Scale Projects for how bigger jobs run.
The Challenge
Vegetation Management Within Approved Corridors.
Corridor work is vegetation management under a rule book. Approvals come first, and the work is carried out within them.
- 01
Approvals and Asset-Owner Requirements
Nothing begins until permissions and clearances are in hand. Asset ownership, access rules and approved scope are confirmed before machinery arrives.
- 02
Variable Growth Along The Corridor
One stretch may be grass and the next scrub up to the asset. Sections are matched with the appropriate machine and settings, rather than one setup for the entire run.
- 03
Assets Within The Vegetation
Poles, towers, pits and services are located and worked around, with clearances maintained rather than estimated.
- 04
Limited Corridor Entry Points
Corridor access is limited to approved entry points. Work is planned backwards from where machines are permitted to enter.
Solutions
What we can do for you.
We supply the right machinery for the job. You tell us what the land needs, we work out the method.
Easement Clearing
Pipeline, powerline and water easements cleared to spec.
Access Tracks
Corridor access tracks opened and maintained.
Asset Surrounds
Vegetation cleared around pits, poles, valves, substations and compounds.
Road Corridors
Roadside vegetation cleared and maintained.
Rail Corridors
Vegetation kept back along rail lines.
Solar Farms
Pre-construction clearing and between-row grass management.
Civil Site Clearing
Vegetation cleared ahead of construction.
Corridor Maintenance
Scheduled runs to keep regrowth down, before handover and after.
Storm & Emergency Clearing
Fallen and damaged vegetation cleared so crews can restore access.
Subcontract Clearing
To the utility, council or head contractor's scope and inductions.
Long-Corridor Programs
Kilometres of easement, roadside or rail corridor cleared and maintained under contract.
Machinery
Choosing the right machinery for the job.
Machinery selection is based on the vegetation, site access and the finish agreed with you.
Our experienced operators use machinery and attachments suited to the work. We assess the site and confirm the equipment and method before work begins.
Tracked skid steers
Mulching heads
Machine-mounted brushcutters
Tractors with slashers
Before You Decide
Sorted before the machine starts.
Corridor work runs on the asset owner's rules.
Arrange a site visit →- 01Clearance widths, exclusion zones and site inductions are confirmed in writing first.
- 02Before You Dig plans are needed wherever underground services are present.
- 03Live powerline work inside clearance zones needs authorised line-clearance crews.
- 04Native vegetation and environmental conditions on the easement or reserve still apply.
- 05Earthworks and grading are outside our scope.
Common Questions
Easement & Corridor Clearing, asked and answered.
Can corridor work be staged while the site remains operational?
Staging is assessed with the asset owner or principal contractor. Agree authorised work areas, access windows, inductions, public separation and any shutdown or traffic requirements before starting. Operational access does not authorise work within live-conductor or other restricted zones.
What documents are needed to scope corridor clearing?
Provide the marked corridor, asset-owner specification, access permissions, environmental approvals and known service information. Confirm exclusion zones, material handling and required finish. Traffic management, specialist line clearance and other separate work must be identified before the quote is agreed.
Do you work as a subcontractor?
Yes. We work for utilities, councils and head contractors, to their scope, inductions and site requirements.
Can you clear under powerlines?
We clear vegetation along easements to the asset owner's requirements. Work inside live-conductor clearance zones needs authorised line-clearance crews, and we tell you if a job needs one.
Do you do earthworks on corridor jobs?
No. We handle the vegetation — clearing, mulching and slashing. Earthworks and grading sit with other contractors.
Can you work on solar farms?
Yes. Vegetation clearing before construction and ongoing grass and regrowth management between panel rows, where access suits.
Do you take on one-off or ongoing corridor work?
Both. One-off clears or scheduled runs, scoped in writing.
Do you work Victoria-wide?
For larger-scale projects, yes. We're based in Bendigo.
Do you spray weeds as well?
Not yet. Commercial weed spraying needs a Commercial Operator Licence (COL) from Agriculture Victoria and Ironbark is arranging it now — spraying starts once the licence is in hand. Mechanical clearing and slashing are available today, and chemical follow-up can be arranged with a licensed contractor in the meantime.
